Teaching virtually from Seattle, Washington.
Originally from Argentina, Julieta started in the service industry 10 years ago and, while attending winemaking school, discovered her true calling in sommellerie. She achieved the Head Sommelier position at the Mendoza Park Hyatt in the heart of the Argentine wine industry, where she directed multiple award-winning wine programs. She has also worked as a Sommelier in the acclaimed Azafrán Restaurant, and has collaborated in the opening of winery restaurants and wine bars in Mendoza, where she worked with some of the most influential winemakers in the country.
Since arriving in the United States, she has immersed herself in both worlds of wine and whisky. She has worked as a wine consultant and a store manager for renowned retail stores in Chicago and Milwaukee. She has achieved the level of Certified Sommelier of the Court of Master Sommeliers and is a Scotch Whisky Ambassador and a Certified Sherry Specialist. She is continuing her education by currently working towards her Advanced Sommelier and Level 3 of the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Julieta speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, a little bit of German, and is currently learning French and Italian.
In her time away from wine, she enjoys exploring local food and the arts scene. She is particularly a fan of ballet and opera. At home, she enjoys exploring new recipes of various cuisines, growing her own veggies, and relaxing with her husband and their two cats.
