What to expect in this workshop:

INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:

Chicken Paprikash:

  • 2 pounds bone-in chicken thighs or legs, Vegetarian substitution: 4 portobello mushrooms, cut in strips
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 tablespoons sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream (find the type with no thickeners, it won’t turn grainy) - Note: Cashew cream is a good dairy substitution for the sour cream. Simply blend cashews in a high speed blender with enough water to allow them to blend
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Parsley Noodles:

  • 12 oz bag wide egg noodles (use gluten-free noodles if desired)
  • 4 oz (one stick) best quality butter, cut in small chunks
  • ½ bunch parsley, finely minced
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

EQUIPMENT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Knife and cutting board
  • Kitchen towels and apron
  • Dutch oven or deep skillet with a lid
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Tongs
  • Wooden spatula or spoon
  • Large pot for cooking noodles
  • Large skillet for butter sauce
  • Whisk or fork
