What We're Cooking,
Eating and Enjoying

What to Cook This Month: May 2022

Ah, May. Summer is just a few weeks away, farmer's markets are open and the days are long. There is so much to look forward to in May - Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Memorial Day.. Here are some recipes I'll be giving a go this month and highly recommend you do too!

This recipe has been one of my favorites to recreate time and time again. It's great for busy weeknight evenings and special dinners at home with my family. The only reason why I would consider myself an Ahogada Master is because I learned how to make this recipe from a Chef!

Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour: Tequila and Mezcal Master Class

You can't do Cinco de Mayo without some tequila. This is a fabulous experience to taste different tequilas and mezcal, side-by-side. Bonus: invite your friends for a good time.

Mother's Day Brunch: Gruyère and Chive Soufflé

This is next level breakfast in bed material, folks! Mom will be totally amazed with your cooking skills if you whip this recipe up for her. Serve with some chilled Prosecco or a white wine for a fabulously delicious brunch.

A great roast chicken is the mark of a great home cook - this recipe is a delish springtime twist, plus fresh pasta! This is a fun recipe to make with Mom together on her special day.

This dessert is perfect for Mother's Day - it can be made a bit ahead, so you can enjoy the whole day with her without having to tend to the kitchen. Simply assemble the dessert when you're ready and you're the hero.

Homemade BBQ just hits differently. I didn't know how differently it could hit until I tried this recipe. Make a big batch enough for your friends, you will not want to run out!

Memorial Day in the park, with the dogs, kids and friends, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping. Could it get more idyllic? Add on these recipes for a great packable picnic meal.

My favorite dessert recipe of all time. I reach for this year round, but it's really perfect in the warm months. Your ice cream, coffee and Oreo lovers will not be able to refuse a slice.

Memorial Day Happy Hour: Frozen Cocktails

Master frozen cocktails this summer - that's my plan at least! I look forward to blending up some delicious cocktails for the summer holidays and all of the summer Friday's in between.

Let me know what recipes you try this month! Cheers!
